Even with the short season, we can offer you some great Merriam turkey hunting in the spring for both archery and shotgun--although we recommend you book right away to make sure to get your dates. Springtime is gorgeous here. Fall Merriam turkey hunting starts Sept. 1st and ends Dec. 31st. You can do a combination hunt with upland gamebird or deer or predators. We offer guided hunts for Merriam turkeys on private land in the Plains and Pine Ridge area of Western NE near the town of Hay Springs, Nebraska.The expert experience of your guide and your willingness to go that extra mile as you patiently wait and diligently call, can be part of your hunting success as you bag your Merriam. Our turkey hunter's success rate in the past has been about 99.99%(which includes the one that the hunter wrestled to the ground...true story!).
